Home address given as Ridlington, Rutland. Enlisted 10.6.1911 at Uppingham, Rutland and before World War One he served with the Regiment in India.. Still with 2nd Bn at the outbreak of World War One, he first entered France 12.10.1914. Killed in action France and Flanders campaign 15.5.1915. He is commemorated on Le Touret Memorial, Pas de Calais, France.
