Biography :
Was serving as Lieutenant with 1st Volunteer Battalion as at 1903. Promoted Captain 3.11.1906, and was serving with the 1st Volunteer Bn Leicestershire Regiment in 1907. Was serving as Captain of 'B' Company as at 1912, Oakham, Rutland. As Captain sailed to France with 5th Bn Leics Regiment, February 1915. Wounded 1.7.1915. Later promoted to Major, and was Second in Command of the 1/5th Bn in early 1916.
